How to Join the League of Women Voters

 Who Joins the League?

  • Men and women concerned about their communities and the nation.
  • Those who want to be better informed about current issues.
  • Citizens who want to make a positive difference.

  What are the benefits?

  • Be a part of national, state-wide, and local grass-roots networks.
  • Belong automatically at all three levels and consider state, national and community issues.
  • Receive background information and timely political updates on critical issues.
  • Help improve your community.

  What do League members do?

  • Study community problems and recommend solutions
  • Inform citizens on issues
  • Register voters
  • Monitor government meetings
  • Motivate others to become  informed and participating citizens
  • Advocate for positive social changes based on positions developed by research and consensus.
  • In total, they work to accomplish the League mission to provide nonpartisan, multi-issue information and education to voters and to motivate informed participation in development of social policy.

Membership is open to men and women of voting age. Non-citizens and under 18 are urged to join as associate or non-voting members.  When you join, you become a member at local, state, and national levels.
